Where's AlGore with his climate warming? Probably warm and snug using more fossil fuel than 200 other average people.

Dang! This guy is fast...first, I was gonna talk about Al Gore and his warming pelosi and Blaine beat me to it...then I was gonna talk about Jay's Buffalo coat and you beat me to it....pelosi! You snooze...ya lose!

It rarely gets down to zero around here and it's supposed to go to 4 or something like that. This area is awe struck....I have no idea how Pitchy and you other northern guys can take this - minus pelosi. My coldest ever was -15 elk hunting in Colorado and I was a bit 😱 😳 scared.---6

I can remember one time while I was living in CO, the leonid meteor showers were happening. A bunch of us from school met at the gun club to watch. It was about -20. We had a grand time!

At least the wind wasn`t blowing so not to bad other than having to get up in the middle of the night and go out and put wood in the stove.
Bill no on using slabs, they wouldn`t last a hour in these temps, use oak, birch when real cold poplar and pine when warmer.
They say +32 Sat. and Sunday then cooler again.

- 9 here in FT Wayne as of a half hour ago.

Earlier my wife went to run and errand, the Pathfinder wouldn't start. The battery had frozen. I took it out of the PF to bring it in to thaw and thought my face was froze in just a few minutes.

That's frost on the battery, it read out at 12.16 volts. As it's warming up it's reading 12.24. When it fully warm I'll put the charger on it. Hope it wasn't ruined.

I wanna go back to the desert.

You know it's cold when the snow squeaks!
Since Sixgun is up all night you would think he would come over and stoke the stove for ya!?

Remember gents, our oldest enemy is always waiting. Just a few thin walls, and a working stove or furnace away.
Be careful, all. It's the places that don't normally get that kind of cold at the most risk.

Dallas was horrible today at 45 degrees a couple of times. I darn near got out my down insulated coat. We leave water running at 38 degrees so that pipes don't freeze and burst.

when we were living in WV my wife's Datsun F-10 started at -19.

Now here in La Florida my freezer only goes down to 5 degrees.
