30-30 Wildcat Brass

Going through the 250 rounds of 30-30 I received the other week I found a few wildcat cartridges. They appear to be something on the order of the 7-30 Waters. Inside diameter of the necks are around .284".

7-30 Waters is on my bucket list. One day I'm gonna "save" an abused Winchester or Marlin lever gun in 30 WCF with lots of TLC and a relining of the barrel to 7-30.

Why you might ask?

Well because ……. That's about the only answer I got.

Shoulder isn't sharp enough for it to be .30-30 Ackley. Wonder what it is.

Shoulder is the correct shape for the 7-30 Waters ... not sure about length of the neck ..

Thanks Griff. Dimensions of the shoulder are correct for the 7-30 Waters. I kinda figured that's they were.
