Pre 64 model 94 receiver screw identification

Post by Jim-Curlee »

I have a pre 64 model 94.
There are 5 screws on the left hand side of the receiver.
I need the big one on the top, at the front.
Twice now I’ve ordered screws from Numrich Arms, and still don’t have the right screw.
So before I blow it for the third time, I figured I better get some help.
Does anyone know what that screw is called.
If someone has an original screw they would want to sell, I’d be happy to buy one.
I still want to know what it’s called. lol

Thanks
Jim

Hmmmm, I once did a post on how to tell the pre from post 64 94s apart. It used to be on our home page but now I can't find it.

anyway, I found this site, it might help:

and this page \:

"Finger lever pin stop screw" is the screw you want. There is two versions, the pre-64 and the larger post-64.

Finger lever pin stop screw is the name. What it does is self-evident.

The finger lever pin stop screw, is the part I ordered.
They sent me a link pin stop screw.
They are similar in appearance, but the size is way different.
Have the correct part on the way.
I was thinkin the previous owner may have bored the hole out for the scope mount, but the FLPSS from my 48 fit in the hole, so I knew it wasn't me. whew
Thanks again

Jim,

Sometimes parts pickers just reach in the box and pull out whatever is there without having any idea what they should be pulling out. Call 'em back and tell 'em you're returning the wrong screw and want the right one or a complete refund.
