Very, very nice. That's some outstanding wood

When you have a chance, put a little grease under all the metal...buttplate, screws, under barrel, etc....I started to see some rust on my Shiloh after awhile after no exposure to elements.
(I'm partial to Fluid Film grease....YMMV)

It is 45-70, I took it out in the snow and cold and sighted it in on rocks and such. I got it to Minute of Antelope, now I go hunting with it...

While I'm not disagreeing with you , if it were mine I'd shoot the heck out of it .

I think I like the looks of the 1877 action more then the others . Certainly more then the 1875 or 1878 . Not that there's anything wrong with either of them just a personal preference .

Beautiful gun! But we need more details! What barrel length and weight? Brand of barrel? Sights? etc.....

I'm not against anyone shooting a beautiful Gun like that. To Me it's a work of art, Wood and steel. Stunning.
