It won't be long before someone comes up with a " cat sneez" load for it...

Well, looks fun, but, I generally have to replace the button rifled barrels on my match AR somewhere around 3,000 rounds @ about $250. The article stated the rail gun barrels had to be replaced within "10's of rounds". So, being generous and figuring replacing a barrel every 100 rounds, that would be 30 barrel changes to get 3,000 rounds downrange. And if the barrel on cost what a decent AR barrel costs, that would be $7,500 in barrels to get 3,000 rounds down range---I guess that's within the military budget, but not mine...HA!
And the real deal for me is that as soon as I had the rifle sighted in, I would need to replace the barrel....Ha, ha....and start over...
Sounds fun! Interesting article, thanks.
Jon.

Considering the pressures involved, and number of shots before the barrel is worn out; I'll stick with something more mundane.
Pre WWI Marlins and Singleshot rifles!
