My best rig.

Post by Pitchy »

I`m sure i`ve posted this before but i`m just sittin around as it`s hotter than Hades outside.
Bought this Vaquero new when they first came out and made the holster for it my favorite, the knife was made by a friend from Ft. Worth TX they called little Davy.
We went down and visited him about nine years ago but sadly he disappeared since, when we got home i sent him a piece of steal to make a knife from.
Don`t know how he etched it but it turned out cool and he put bone handles on it.
I`ve tried to find him with no luck so if ya passed we are thinking about ya Davy.

Nothin' wrong in that picture! Very cool!

I got my new holster for the SBH the other day. Got to get out and take some pictures.

Too warm out down here too, though the Boss Lady doesn't seem to mind it. I've been in the basement most of the day. Fixed a door, made Blondie a new bird feeder, cleaned some guns. :D

Stay cool!

Thanks Jay, if i remember right i cut the blade from a old circle saw blade and sent that to Davy.
I just feel well gunned when carrying that pistol, accurate and powerful. :)

Pretty neat.
Yup. If it's something you shoot well and are comfortable with, that's the one to be packin'.

Thanks fellars, a person gets involved in so much other stuff in life nowdays and doesn`t wear the gun as much as he`d like.
I wear and carry my guns more in the winter when the bugs arn`t so bad and not hot and of coarse getting old and health problems doesn`t help either.
I dream of having horses again and living some where else but the way its going it may never happen.

Lenn, that is such a classic blad shape. Good choice.
I had an early Vaquero as well, in .45 Colt, with the 7 1/2-inch "James Arness" barrel. With black powder handloads and the old greasy black Remington cup-base bullet, that thing shot under an inch and half at 25 yards. One of the most accurate revolvers I ever owned.
