Recommendation For A Cheek Piece, Gun Site Scout

Post by Blaine »

I just can't get a good off-hand sight pic. I need to raise the comb to get a solid cheek/comb weld. Getting tired of banging the heck out of my cheekbone when I raise my face up.
Are there any products that you could recommend. It doesn't have to be pretty, those composite stocks are ugly anyway. Just so they stay in place once I fit it to the stock.

Hill People Gear Stock Cuff, you can put something under it for padding if you need plus it holds ammo.

Or if you really want to go cheap cut strips out of an old closed cell foam sleeping pad and duck tape them on, add layers to raise as much as you need.

Blaine you can also get yourself a can of bondo body filler. Build up the comb sand and paint. This is more permanent than a cuff type comb raising kit.

I was looking at the one right before that one...No bullet loops.

I don't think I want to bondo anything. I'm not sure I'll have a long term relationship with this one. A most excellent rifle, but haveing "fit" problems.

In that case forget a permanent build up. Suppose you could always see what Boydes has too.
