Cold and Snow
I'm in Biloxi and we had rain, sleet and snow last night, got down to 30. Who is having colder than normal weather this week? Todd/3leg

Re: Cold and Snow
Turned pretty cold in the UK, snow up north but I'm down in the south with temperature around freezing.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.
Re: Cold and Snow
Opposite here. Hotter and drier than usual. But the place is on fire which is getting to be usual.

Funny Turtle, but that's just what it's like in Maine tonight!
29 and snowing. 3 to 5 to 2 to 4 or maybe up to 8 inches depending on who you
believe. My younger son and I got everything squared away outside this afternoon.
2 to 3 on the ground right now.
Forecast is for something close to zero at night next week. Motorcycling might
be over for the season...... 24 Friday morning when I rode to work.

Re: Cold and Snow
We had very light non-sticking flurries Wednesday and Thursday, and it got down to 14 here in the desert. Then the system moved on east to your place, Todd.

Re: Cold and Snow
Got down to 13 one morning last week but back up to nearly 70 over this past week-end. Very dry here and windy. High fire danger.

Supposed to be 77ºF here today. Which is good, since I'm working outside!

Re: Cold and Snow
Snow only came down for a few moments here, and never stuck (ground was too warm), but further south and west they got it good!

Re: Cold and Snow
Yep, some folks just don't believe it gets cold in Florida. 1977 I was stationed at Eglin AFB. It snowed for a couple of days. Shutdown the entire area.

Re: Cold and Snow
You guys are such a bunch of wimps!! 35° and you act like it's freezing. C'mon, suck it up!
It was 6° here last night, 10° here right now, although it did hit a balmy high of 25 in the sunshine today. 8" of snow from Tuesday evening until late yesterday.
We might see lows in the 20s below zero, with highs not making it 0° for several days straight at some point in the next couple months.
Considered a move to FL 20 years ago but decided we couldn't deal with the heat/humidity. Our temperature range is way wider than yours too. I have seen 100° highs and -26° lows, you get what, 105 highs and 25 low?

Re: Cold and Snow
Very little snow for this time of year about three inches, temps in the teens during the day.

Re: Cold and Snow
It got down to 36 degrees here this morning. I grew up where it gets colder and is just a few miles from the windiest place on planet earth. I will deal with the Summer heat getting up to 110 degrees about once a year so that I don't have to shovel drifts up to the roof anymore.
By the way, the windiest place on Earth is not very far from the geographic center of the Continental United States. Has anyone else ever lived where the wind speed didn't drop below 15 mph for an entire year?
