We had a rescue Haflinger for a few years. Had to board it at the vets because although we live in a rural area, our property is all either swamp or really steep and irregular (very hard to fence) hills. It was a pretty cool animal, and my wife trained it for safe saddle riding. After a bit we found a family that had a small working farm and wanted him to pull carts and stuff, so we figured he'd have fun and be more appreciated there, and gave him to them.

Grass looks good; you must have had a wet spring. We are still having rain in north central Texas and our Welsh ponies are belly deep in grass in some places.

He is a good looking horse. A fine head and a strong body.
Do you know what breed he is?

Been a long streatch of time since I had a good riding horse.
I grew up on my grandad's ranch and he never bought nothing
but nags...man they was rough on a man trying to work
cattle with em...never acted right.
I bought me a good horse when I got grown.
She got old on me and I sold her to a lady for her
kiddos.

How is he going to pull the trigger, much less ride another horse?
