The dirty girl!

Post by Nath »

She is an obese dirty girl is Bess.

She refuses to budge unless first consuming 100grns plus of black and 1&1\2oz of shot.

She belches and pharts in the most vulgar fashion.

Many a time I consider a divorce but keep resisting due to her ability to provide a willing spark in my life!
In fact she would spark with a pebble I think!

So, we commsumated our relationship over a passion for pheasant.

I guess a lot of men have felt the same way about Bess since 1722.
It's nice to know she is still doing her duty......…

Great Photos !
I have a friend who was big time into metal detecting and found handful's of the round balls shot from Bess's on town greens all over New England. He believed it was due to drilling of colonial's. He just gave me a perfect flint that he found. Makes one really wish it could talk.
I never have fired a flint gun and someday will have to fix that problem. Is that Bess a shortened one?

It's just a Pedersoli short version, nothing special really except for her lock which is uber reliable.

She was sparking on a chip of flint I smashed off a lump someone kindly gave me, I say chip as I can not Knapp!

You have not fired a flintlock!! That's disgusting! See you correct your gross error soon!

As it stands now the Flintlock is the champ for longevity in that it stayed in use two centuries IIRC before a malcontent duck hunter used some fulminate of mercury to make a lock that was faster so the ducks wouldn't alert when they saw the pan flash of the Flinter and take flight before the shot got there..

Pretty Pics Nath. Well done as usual Do you carry a tripod?

I got the hat recently when we visited with our grandchild a small Welsh village and found a vintage clothes shop!

The had some Austrian/Bavarian style hats in!

My father was from Bavaria, Augsburg.

Now don't go talking in German to me :?

I take after my English grandfather more so and speak and sound as a stokie!!
You can Google that one lol.

Staglag 17, one of my favorites.
Was 11 or 12 when it hit the screen in Dallas. Saw it at the Magestic Theater in downtown Dallas. Went with my dad. The females, Granny, sister and Momma stayed home as they didn't think they would enjoy a "war movie". Dumb girls!!!

Nath please keep your photos coming, we all sure enjoy them!
