I got several gift cards for Christmas this year so I had a little fun last week.
I bought this little Beretta 21A to replace all my little .22lr pocket pistols.
I like to have a little .22LR for working around the yard, walking the dogs with a few shorts or subsonics that I can slip in and pop off at whatever looks like it needs to be shot at with out irritating the local PD.
I haven't put it on paper yet but I ran about 25 rounds of CCI Stingers through it and it's "Minute of Rotting Pumpkin" that someone left out at the gun club for fun. Quiet enough with .22 shorts to get away with in the back yard. Dented and knocked over a garbage disposal I had to change out Christmas Eve.
The dagger is from Cold Steel. Their take on a WWI style trench knife. Just something funky/ cool to hang up with my WWI stuff or stick some zombies.

Was the Baretta 100% or almost? I've thought about one for summer wear but a buddy of mine taught ccw class and had a few of them for the shooting session that's required here. Lots of jams but the ladies really liked the tip-up barrel they could load and never have to rack the slide. Maybe they were limp wristing them. Anyway, nice pistol and knife. I got pajamas.

It's been pretty cold and nasty around here so I've only fired about 40 rounds or so. I ran a couple magazines of CCI standard Velocity through it after the Stingers and those functioned perfectly as well. Looks like it's going to need to be cleaned fairly often, the chamber was pretty dirty after the first run with the Stingers. I'll give it a more through test soon. I wanted to be sure it worked before I ordered a spare magazine for it. I had one a long time ago in .25ACP that worked really well.

21A's aren't usually the issue in itself. Most issues are ammo related. .22's are famous for failure to fire, and the little berretta doesn't have an extractor. It relies on pressure from the fired cartridge to extract and eject.
21A's in .25 acp are extremely reliable. Mine has never, since day one had any issues. Keep them clean and lightly lubed, and they seem to function even on cruddy looking ammo or unknown age.

Good choice with the 21A. I choose a Ruger LCR in .22 cal instead. 8-shot, good front sight, and I can also shoot shorts, double-action only, but you would be surprised how accurate this revolver is... :)
