NOT for the Glock Fans...
I didn't want to ruin a recent thread...
So instead, I'll just post this here... ...This ought to ruffle a few feathers.
That was posted on the wall of my department back when I worked there in NH.

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
You know a Glock 21 holds about twice as many rounds as a standard 1911?

Pretty sad! They have to try to feminize a Glock to sell an inferior, more expensive, product.

Nope, when I get done with a standard 25yd pistol target the black is GONE!
Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
That just mean you have to hold it twice as long.1894cfan wrote:You know a Glock 21 holds about twice as many rounds as a standard 1911?
Slow is just slow.

Important if you plan to miss much, I guess.1894cfan wrote:You know a Glock 21 holds about twice as many rounds as a standard 1911?
And before you make some comment about multiple adversaries, that's what Moses made spare magazines for.

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
When it comes down to a 45 auto, I ain't gonna worry about printing! Just stopping something with as few rounds as needed!

you can laugh about it while you're clearing your jams.

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
Oddly enough, I've even had a wheelie "jam". So, "jams" from which system? Single-stack, double-stack, SA, DA, or "GA" ("Glock Action" striker actuated trigger floppy thingy)Rusty wrote:you can laugh about it while you're clearing your jams.
(Note, I have EDC'd and Professionally carried Glocks. They are good guns. Just not the gun I would choose...)

Rusty, not sure if you're referring to me, but I've NEVER had a jam in my G21.
Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
I've never had a jam with my G19, or my G26.
Sigh, on the other hand are built tighter.

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
I will concede that I find the look and feel of the plastic guns to be as distasteful as a lot of folks on here do , but that said, -- this is my "winter carry" arrangement --- and any other time of the year , if i'm not actually carrying all of this, I'm carrying part of it -- LOL
Glock 29 10mm with both a factory 10 round mag and a 15 round G20 mag loaded with hollow points, - A G42 .380 and a spare mag, in this case loaded with FMJ for better penetration with the weak little slugs, along with a cutting implement or 2 , and a small handful of cash for emergencies

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
I've only had one Glock that jammed, a 36, but that was with Blazer Aluminum only (and I knew better). My 30s has never failed in any way.1894cfan wrote:tman wrote:Glocks don't jam.

Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
Bought the 27 .40 when it first came out, long time ago. 2 years ago bought the 43 9mm single stack. No jams, no problems, excellent accuracy right out of the box with cheapest ammo that I can find. But, this is just my experience.
Re: NOT for the Glock Fans...
Thank heaven the election is over and we can get back to talking about guns! Oh, and having actually used a 1911, and a Hi Power I went back to the 1911. I'm sure things have changed, but I know a 1911 works. Can't say that about a 9 mm.
