Firearm quiz

Test your knowledge. I missed 2, but 1 was because I was too quick on the trigger!

30 out of 30. But the Bond question doesn't have the right answer available. He preferred a .25 Beretta. The Walther was forced on him by M after Bond was wounded when his Beretta failed.

The Emu question might stump some, but I recently read some stuff on the Lewis gun and it was mentioned there.

I got 25 of 30, had to guess on a few and missed those. Fun test, thanks for passing it on.

Don't feel bad, I only got 23 / 30.  Davey Crockett got me, so did the plastic pistol. Since I'm not one bit interested in plastic anything, I didn't feel too bad. #22 I didn't get the question.....pistols at dawn!? Dawn of day or dawn of civilization?? What!? Never did know # 28. Oh well.

I agree. I know about guns that interest me. Just because it shoots does not mean I care about learning about it.
So, Davy Crocket had his own centrifuge to make the fuel for that nuke rifle?

I spent too much time reading as a kid. I remember seeing pictures of the Davy Crockett nuclear recoiless rifle mounted on a pintle mount on a Jeep. They were one strange looking gun.

The H&K VP70 was too ugly to forget.

Duels were being fought before percussion caps were invented.

At my last job I worked with a ex-Army fella whose job it was to assemble the warheads for the small artillery nukes. Evidently, you just didn't go to the ammo bunker and get one of them. All the parts were in widely separated locations, and had to be put together. I guess about a 6 hour lead time was needed to fire one. They were so dangerous that it was assumed that those firing it would be exposed to eventually-lethal doses of radiation. This guy I worked with was in Greece, and he said his job was done when it was ready to go. The Hellenic fellas would be the ones in the barrel touching it off.

I honestly don't know how I knew that one lol. Actually I watched a doc on history channel probably 2 decades ago (when History Channel was worth watching) and they showed that weapon, so I knew that it existed, the other two answers were not nearly as plausible.

I knew the "at dawn" question, I missed the plastic gun.  Also missed the Colt invention (assembly line?) Can't recall the others I missed. Most of them I thought were pretty easy. I think the AR one is wrong, AR simply stands for Armalite iirc, not Armalite rifle, but its what most people think, just like they think M16 preceded the AR15 and that AR15 was civilian only, so very wrong.

Books and movies. I love to see where they went wrong in the movie. By the way some folks claim Connery was the best bond. Not hardly. David Niven was the best. He had the style and class all others have lacked.

Remember Bond was Royal Navy and from the aristocracy. Connery played him as Connery was, a truck driver.

The what kind of weapon would you most likely carry in 13th Century China and the one about pistols drawn at dawn are the two I missed.

I had to guess at a couple. I didn't even know any one had tried to off President Ford and I forget the other.
