Proud of my little sis...

Post by Old Ironsights »

Waay better than I can ever hope to achieve.

Once a "shop name" with the DC/National Opera (I got to meet Placido Domingo and drink his Dom!) she now runs the costume shop at the Carolina Ballet.

Not bad for a Lander (WY) girl...

The pregnant-belly dance costume reminds me of my wife's tales when she worked making opera costumes - they would have to make skinny women look fat, fat women look skinny, men look like women, women look like men, and all sorts of fun stuff.

When I'd go see the programs though, I could see how well the illusions worked - even with binoculars from the audience viewpoint, you couldn't tell the stuff was fake.

I wouldn't know.

Only my brother and sister have had to chance to test that theory.
