That dog was suffering, and near death. I'll dash in for a few minutes with the windows half down. In the desert communities, it's not strange to see the car running, locked, and with the AC on...... Use common sense, is all I'm saying....

Been there done that. While stationed in the desert we would occasionally get calls about animals in hot cars. Amazing what one little tap from a fire axe will do to a window.

Worst was a visiting grandmother who locked the keys in the car with the grandkid, right in front of the fire house. We gave the old slim jim a try but weren't having any luck. She insisted we break the glass. Kid only woke up and started to cry after it was all over.
