Let me know and thanks,
Trooper Joe, you should have bought it. That's a good price. 94's in that condition aren't usually found for prices that low. I would have jumped at it had I seen it.trooper joe wrote:Found a real nice Model 94, 30-30, made in 1969. Has no "buggered" screws or rust marks. Nice blueing, and wood. Has a non-rebounding hammer, metal butt plate and aperture mounting screws on left rear of receiver. Looks like it has a nice machined carrier and not stamped sheet metal. Dealer says $275 out the door.

What?!? You wasted your money on that old thing?trooper joe wrote:Just called the dealer. The gun is mine.
Will have photo's later today.
I can't find "Ranger" on the barrel. Maybe the wood is walnut. Also, the carrier may have been updated. It doesn't look like sheet metal like some I have examined from this era.Pete44ru wrote:.
AFAIK, the only non-walnut wooden Model 94 stocks were on M-94's marked "Ranger" on their barrel.

I'm sure its walnut, just a plain grained piece of wood.trooper joe wrote:I can't find "Ranger" on the barrel. Maybe the wood is walnut. Also, the carrier may have been updated. It doesn't look like sheet metal like some I have examined from this era.Pete44ru wrote:.
