Summer 2015
Hey guys,
In a little over a week we'll be hitting the middle of the U.S. for a few weeks. We'll be in parts of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, California, Oregon and Washington as well as probably being in parts of Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa are on the "perhaps, we'll have to see" list. Anyway, as we travel we like to stop by and say "Howdy!" to folks as a way of enlivening the trip and also to finally put a human face and voice to the internet "handle" that we've known over the years. If you're in one of the above mentioned states and would like us to try and stop by as we pass through to share a cup of coffee, tell you first hand about life in the NW corner of S. America or just shake hands, drop me a note with a phone number and town and we'll see if we can swing through at some point or other as we travel through.
The next few days promise to be busy as we finish packing up for the trip and getting things ready for those who'll be filling in the gaps. We've been training them for this so it'll be good to see how things work out. Can't wait to dig out the cache and unlimber a bangstick or three. Triggernometry therapy will definitely be a part of the time spent up north. Come to think of it, squirrel season starts shortly after we arrive...

Only for an easterner... Indiana's on the wrong side of the river to count as the middle. It always cracks me up to hear folks talk about Ohio as "The Midwest". It's more like the Mid East - or it would be if that moniker wasn't hung on another section of the globe!
We'll be hitting MO first and all other points afterwards. An orderly, progressive, consecutive travel plan is our goal. This year we missed the boat. We'll be crossing Kansas probably three times. On the other hand, it looks like we'll be getting more time in the Colorado Rockies than usual. Ground squirrels, coyotes and trout beware!

We're out of town the 14th to the 21st, but if you get around Columbia give us a shout.

Hey Ted,
We need to get over to High Hill if time and opportunity allow. I'm not sure when, but once we're on the ground and actively projecting the use of our time between speaking engagements we'll have a better idea of that. Drop me an email with a phone number and if we DO make that trip we'll give you a heads up call. Columbia is right on the road towards our home base from High Hill.

Small world, Montgomery Co. RII is my Alma mater, and I still have several friends in the area. I was raised about 12 miles from High Hill.

Do not, repeat do not, come to Wyoming without a 2-day stop in Cody to tour the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Smithsonian-grade museum of the old West including the firearms collection which will take you most of the two days to soak up.

That's on the list of things I'd LOVE to do, but this trip looks like we'll probably hit the SW corner of the state only. It's been YEARS since I've been to Cody. It seems we saw part of the museum back about '82, someday I've got to get back there...

Safe travels and if you make it to the maybe state of Iowa, I have a spot to shoot. Nothing fancy, just some steel and paper. I'm just off of I-29 on the Iowa side of Omaha.
