I was in a well-heeled neighborhood, fresh from a court victory, driving my Corvette on a gorgeous Spring day. Saw a yard sale sign, said WTH, I'd take a walk through it. As I pulled up two middle age ladies were leaving -- I pulled up & asked if there was anything worthwhile inside. They both frowned, and one said, "No not all. It's just all old tools. Some old guy is selling the contents of his workshop."

I spent an hour & $100 there. :)

That's where I bought my last 3 full cans of surplus '43 .30-06 ammo! I need to find some more now! The price was right also... $20/can!!! I doubt it'll be quite that inexpensive!!! :P :P

I used to see guns at yard sales in Az when I lived there way back in the 1900's. Was at one with a friend, there was a Marlin model 60 22 auto. I talked the guy down to $30 or $35, paid him them handed it to my friend and said "Happy Birthday!" It just seemed wrong that he didnt have a 22 rifle.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

I have 2 friends who only love of guns is buying and selling and trades. They know nothing about them and sell them on line for about twice what there worth. I have to watch them sell stuff i want but won't pay there crazy prices. I get a gun or 2 if they need fixed and then i can haggle cos they are gun stupid on were to get parts are take them apart.
they do it on facebook, and i know most buyers would never pass a background check at a real shop is why they pay so much,BUT the guys that sell 5 guns for $400 and 2 are browning lever guns is just poor + stupid. to sell something you have that cheap is why there broke in the first place in my book.
I watch when they list a gun there is like a shark frenzy and post start ,making offers trades and there gone in 1 day most times. They can not stop and think for 1 hour about a deal.it is like there all crazy, they get in fights over what some 1 said and it don't stop till some 1 buys or trades it off.
Its like gamblers at a card table till some 1 gets the gun.and they love itand make $$$ too.

NOT MY WAY OF DEALING I STAY AWAY FROM IT, and i think it hurts guys like me who just want the gun at a fare price to shoot and care for.

They stay away from hand guns unless there is a FFL done PA law.but the long guns are changing hands 2 or 3 times on the same site. CRAZY
