Just google "tulsa gunshow thefts". Did that and got several hits/news reports of the thefts. Pretty sorry. I'm glad they got their butts arrested!

I heard reports of several stolen guns on the PA system while I was there Saturday. Some of us were discussing the rash of thefts and wondering about the logistics of such a thing. That explains it.

The worst part of it is, two of those t**ds already posted bail and are out and on their way. Maybe they can steal enough stuff in the meantime to pay their fines. There's nothing like stealing from your friends!! Unbelievable!! Oh and the third one...his bail is $4000. And the guns he stole are worth $35,000.

I saw this online in the, Tulsa World, newspaper.

I can hear their defense in court now...."We didn't know there were cameras"
Hopefully, the investigations aren't over...

Well, the bail bonds may not sound too onerous for them, but it ain't over yet. I'm sure some ATF fellers are licking their chops about paying the three of them multiple visits with "polite" conversation, search warrants, confiscation of "inventory" at homes, places of business, storage buildings, family member dwellings, etc. Perhaps the IRS will even want to do a little investigating into their claimed income over the last few decades. Not fun, for sure.

One of the dips--ts was charged with having a stolen rifle in his possession among other charges. A Savage Model 99 reported stolen in San Antonio, TX in 1995. The other two are charged with Grand Larceny, certainly not a shoplifting beef. Would imagine both of those old boys will have to spend quite a sum on lawyers to avoid serious slammer time. And after all that expense, possibly still wearing wear orange jumpsuits for quite some time! Imagine the three of them are very sorry they got caught and are facing many sleepless nights ahead of them. Too bad I don't feel very sorry for them. I can't abide THIEVES!

Don't think for a second this is the first time these crooks have stolen guns. I hope they end up in prison there is nothing worse than a thief.

There was a PA announcement that a Parker and another description I don't recall had been stolen. A few hours later Joe (Wanenmacher) announced the guns had been recovered and the cooks were in cuffs going downtown. There was applause all over the building.

I witnessed another guy in cuffs being brought in from outside on Saturday morning. Don't know what he had been up to.

From the announcements I think the deal was they waited until their neighbors had covered their tables and left, then they pilfered the guns and walked out with them.

The articles (I know, they may not be accurate) said some were hidden under their own tables, then taken out to their vehicles in cases with all the other guns.

Supposedly the new camera system has face-tracking capability, so security was able to find the footage of them taking the guns, then track them to their own table, and then out to the parking lot.

I think it's sweet that no one warned them of the cameras....probably been doing this type of thing their whole lives.

We like to thing of gun people as generally good guys, but man I've seen a disproportionate number of dealers who were scumbags. And I don't mean guys who's prices or personal attitudes I didn't care for (plenty of them too) , but I mean genuine low life and criminals.

Well, I have found that lots of gun dealers are big liars, worse then a used car saleman, so I recon outright stealing wasn't that much of a stretch for them.

After being found guilty in a court of law, they deserve to be put to doing hard labor for 15 years or more with no parole. Give them hammers and have them turn big rocks into pebbles for road bed gravel.

Unfortunately, the reality is that the ATF won't even go after these losers.

There was a case in central Maine not too long ago where a guy stole 43 guns,
and he was a convicted felon. He got something like 7 years, all but 3 suspended.
The Feds never even got involved.

I mostly hate a thief. This is one of those cases where cutting off the right hand
doesn't seem so harsh!

In the end you may be right. The feds rarely go after convicted felons on new gun related charges. It doesn't fit the political agenda.
However, if these guys were FFL dealers themselves, you can bet the ATF will go after them. Anything AG Holder can do to make legitimate FFL's look bad you can bet he will.
Look what they did to the Gibson Guitar company. All because they were contributors to conservative groups.
This administration has brought Chicago gangster style politics to the national level corrupting all the alphabet agencies pushing a their political agenda.
