Dusty Texian posted This on FB.
I'm sure it was very labor intensive.
But wow! Very worth it. 8)

Very cool...

I just finished plans for a log home company that will be setting up a 1 room and a loft,
very similar to that one...at the local flea market as a model/kit for sale...
But they are milled logs and will not look as good as that original...

That is a very nice job....

Boy! Even in the 1830's, the dirtbags were stripping copper plumbing from unoccupied houses.

That was cool. I just hope he lives long enough to enjoy it.

He's already had the enjoyment. Once a project is finished it's boring and time for a new challenge.

Bringing life back to an old junker is an honorable thing to do.
I suppose that means I should start doing pushups ...

I hate to be the pessimist here but restoring that log cabin makes about as much sense as restoring an antique Winchester that has been sitting in the woods for 100 years.......about the only thing original are a few small parts.

It would be a lot more sensible to start out with quality/new/ergonomincal materials.-----6
