Winchester 95 Commemorative 1916 - 2016

I want a Winchester 95 in 7,62 x 54 R Russian, and with stripper clip guide.

I want it NEWLY made, so I can shoot it!

I want it very much! VERY!

Any chance U.S.R.C or Browning will make such a piece?

I am quite sure I am NOT the only one to want such a thing.

The ballistics are similar to a 30-06 and that is chambered in modern Miroku/Winchester 1895 rifles, so why not the 30-06?

7.62X54R is the oldest serving service rifle round still in use. 1891-2014+.

Literally millions of weapons chambered in it around the world, from carbines to heavy machine guns to sniper rifles.

While I love the .30-06, the 7.62X54R is no slouch, and aside from the cheap ball out there, is highly capable in the accuracy department with the correct loadings.

Toss in the '95s sent to Russia to assist during WW1, and it's a legitimate collectible centennial piece.

Try contacting Lipsey's or Davidson's and see how many they'd have to sell to request a special dealer's exclusive. If you put the bug in their ear they might run with it.

Because more of those rifles were made in 7.62x54r than any other caliber, and they are just so cool. I would love to have one, too.

I understand a lot are still in use on the other side of the Bering Sea from us. I keep hoping a few will filter across. I have an M91 (not a 91/30) Dragoon rifle here that came across unofficially during the Cold War.

Some of them are out there, but mostly in deplorable condition. Two World Wars, a Civil War, the famous Russian / Sowjet Arms care, and corrosive ammo and steel jacketed bullets ...

IMO ammo charging the ´95 is a PITA.

But the 7.62 x 54R uses stripper clips! ( Bajo lug nice, but that´s not necessary for me )
