A bowhunting friend (Robb Kettlebottom) took this 300lb (live weight), 13-pt buck , here in RI (our bowhunting season runs from Sept to Feb), which field-dressed out @ just under 260lbs.
This deer is fully the equal of large Maine/Michigan whitetails.

I shoot a lot of Michigan deer and my last 2 put together didnt weigh that much!

WOW! Nice buck! It would take about three good Blacktail Deer like we have around here to make that kind of weight.

They are around up here but don't come easy.
My dad has our best at 235.
Next is mine at 215.
I haven't broke 200lbs in 10 years.
