The Marlin Bullseye
I dimly recall seeing a place that sold reproduction or original manufactured black and white bullseyes for marlin rifles. This is the small plastic button inlayed into the bottom edge of a Mid 20th Century Marlin rifle. A friend lost one last weekend.
If anyone knows of a source, I would like to pass it on to him.

Tons available. Each blank is good for 3 rifles.

I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.
Re: The Marlin Bullseye
I have purchased them from Marlin in the past. I believe the Gun Garage in Arkansas sells them. Ask for Al. 1886.

.
Marlin replacement bullseye's are $3 @ Brownell's - and like all replacements, must be glued in prior to being cut/filed down to the stock contour.
I place masking tape around the site, before working on one - to protect the wood & prevent a refinishing.

Re: The Marlin Bullseye
It's been a few years, but the last time I asked Marlin about getting a couple they sent them to me promptly, no charge. May be different now that Remington is in charge.
Re: The Marlin Bullseye
I saw a homemade replacement that was really cool. A very white wood, with a tiny dowel of very black wood was crafted, and finished. I might have seen it on this site many moons ago...Maybe the old Marlin site....

Isn't that the thing through which you are supposed to screw a big, ugly sling swivel at a grotesque angle?
I just saw them recently, must be at Brownells.
I replaced one recently with brass. I found a punch that fit and cut off the end. Put initials on it.

Re: The Marlin Bullseye
While that's the correct location for Bubba Jr, the bullseye is the Marlin logo, so the brand can be picked out @ a glance, and not for swivel installation - which is properly closer to the end of the buttstock than where where Marlin installed the bullseye.7.62 Precision wrote:

Marlin Bullseye is a trademark registered to Marlin.
BlaineG , That may have been me. I made one out of Holy and Ebony some years back.
I bought a couple too. They (factory replacement ones) are long enough for 2 or 3 as said above.
