first Levergun day of the year

Post by new pig hunter »

Zoomed up to Burro Canyon shooting range (above Azuza), a very nice early-morning canyon drive in and of itself.

Hauled out the Marlin 444SS in .444 Marlin .... 80 rounds expended at 100 yards. 40 rounds of Remington 240-gr ammo, 40 rounds of WisconsinCartridge 240-gr ammo. Similar ballistics, but the Remington was impacting 4" higher. All in all, lots of huge holes in the targets !!
