Miss Kansas Theresa Vail Has My Vote…
Theresa Vail is an sergeant in the U.S. Army who is a crack shot, can handily skin a deer, is an expert with a bow and arrow, and sports a couple of tattoos. And to top it all off? She speaks Chinese! The 22 year-old blonde beauty is also representing Kansas in the Miss America pageant which airs this Sunday night. (She’s only the second woman from the armed forces to compete in the pageant).

I am hoping she wins. I do, however, think that she scares the other contestants.

God Bless her. To have the serenity prayer as the tattoo is in my opinion not tasteless, but classy. I'm anxious to see who wins in something that I generally could care less about.

Hope the young lady does well. But, I happen to know a former Miss Kansas, and she'll tell you it's more about politics than it is talent, poise and beauty. So, she probably doesn't stand a chance of even being a runner up.

One of my patients was a contestant in a pageant a few years ago and said much the same thing. For her it at least helped with some prize money and as a resume item.jeepnik wrote:Hope the young lady does well. Unfortunately all the above is probably true.AJMD429 wrote:One of my patients was a contestant in a pageant a few years ago and said much the same thing. I would hope the NRA takes notice to her and possibly brings her on
board. We definitely need fine young women like her.

Thanks for posting that OS, I was wondering where she could put all those words
What a delightful young lady, I hope she does well, however if politics do play a big part................

Re: Miss Kansas Theresa Vail Has My Vote…
A girl from my hometown was a Miss Kansas. Trisha Schaeffer. Her Dad owned a barber shop. I was a year older than her older brother, Shannon, and barely knew who she was. My kid sister knew Trisha and said she was a nice person. Contestants are not all the spoiled airheads that some of them seem to be. I am not even sure if I am spelling Trisha right, it might be Tricia. Anyway, I have heard that she was a nice person and not at all what the stereotype is.

I don't want a tattoo on myself and I darned sure wouldn't want one on my wife either !
When I was a kid tattoo's were pretty much a Navy - Biker thing or atleast thats what I thought !
Now they're pretty mainstream . And mainstream or not I personally do not find them appealling on a woman !

Well, on a woman they used to mean pretty much just one thing,
A mark identifying which pimp she belonged to.
That's the origin of "Tramp Stamps.".

I must admit, a tattoo is an immediate turn off for me.Old Savage wrote:And the tatto? Or would that rattle part of the crowd here?
However, the serenity prayer? That's one I could handle, especially placed where she has it.
