It will cost you more than the rifle is worth. Keep the character or DIY.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Just go slowly and check in here for advice from some of us who've already made the mistakes you might make if you go it alone. I've made plenty of them, so can tell you lots of ways NOT to do different things (and a few ways that really worked well).

Signal Mtn gunworks in Roundup Mt. does an excellent job, and their prices are reasonable.
