Son in Law shoots a proper gun!

Post by Nath »

Yep,,, he finally gets to shoot a Gentlemans firearm!

We hunted a few rabbits up and boy he sure knows how to scare them, just a little better than me

We had a little plink at a distant rock with some 180grn fmj's on H4227 and got nearly eaten alive by horse fly! Luckily his aftershave kept most of them off me  (see, I smell like a cross between a pig and an ole' tom cat living near a sewer outlet and horse fly don't like that).

That's some nice country there! What part of England is that? Reminds me of out toward Avebury.

I worked in London for 6 months right out of school. I used to take the trains and buses out of town on the weekends to go see some of the ruins that weren't all touristy.

I'd been here around 30 odd years and was night fishing on a lake in Quebec with an old friend and from down the lake a guy shouted: "what part of London are you from then?"

Aye, me too! Especially as I still have a LOT of research that I've about exhausted the internet info available on my family ties to Scotland. I've gotten beyond where gov't records exist, now apparently, it's all about what can be found in parish church records & headstones.

I used to be a barber for a goodly part of my life. I'd been tared and fearhered had I turned out a hair cut like that . But times have changed . I just became 76 years.
might be the reason But that is a very fine RIFLE . Bought my wife and grandaughter ones just like it. And if the girl likes the haircut who cares. Ha!

Mom is 87 in a coupla months, and has lived in the US since she was 28. And, when we went to the family reunion in NZ in 2000, all the relatives (and strangers) told her she sounded, "... just like a Yank!" But, what's really funny, is that here in the States, folks are always askin' her if she's from a - England, b - Australia and following in a distant 3rd place - New Zealand. However, after living in Tennessee for better than 30 years, now, her NZ accent has a slight southern drawl! :P
