Celebrate the anniversary of our Independence Day

Celebrate the memory of a generation of People who looked a tyrant in the eyes and said 'Enough is enough.'

Take a moment to remember their courage and sacrifice. Reflect on whether our nation is the fulfillment of their dream.

But, if you're not from around here and the red-blood does not flow in your veins, have a nice 4th of July, and "Be safe."

:)
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Watch "The Patriot" or better yet read "To Try Men's Souls"...

Do it with your family and friends. Screw the fireworks.

BTW, listening to fireworks in the background right now. I love the sound - always makes me think of freedom. I love living in SC! :D

Taking in the 4th of July fireworks in downtown NYC with the family. Supposed to be the biggest show in the states this year. We shall see! 8)

A happy 4th to you all. A big thank you to all who have served. And another to all those unknowns who fight every day with letters, calls, money, and votes to keep America free.

+1! Remember what the signers of the Declaration of Independence faced. If your representative today doesn't have the courage and conviction of them... don't ever vote for them again!

I took a printed copy of the Declaration and after dinner we passed it around and all read a part of it. We had my kids, nephews and nieces there, from 24 to 10 years of age. We had a good discussion of why we have this holiday and what the Declaration really was and went on from there. The kids learned more on the subject in that hour and a half than they ever have in school. I refuse to let the next generation in my family grow up to be uninformed zombies.

Happy Independence Day
