And you didn't invite them in for bacon and eggs with a lead pill chaser?

That would be discharging a firearm in the city limits.
Re: song dogs
Coyotes are smart enough to learn to hunt where they are safe. We may not like it, but it is the way they were made.

Just wait till the 4th of July. Nobody will even know you're out hunting coyotes with all the "fireworks" going offMescalero wrote:That would be discharging a firearm in the city limits.

I live in a suburb that's got green-belts running through it, and there's a good sized park with water nearby.
I take my morning workout at 3am and it is not at all unusual to run across coyotes playing in the park.
We just kinda eyeball each other and keep goin'.
The population of rabbits and duck probably keep them busy and well fed.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

I was visiting a friend up in sun city west, arizona this spring. we were having a beer on the back patio when a song dog walked by about 20 feet away. He was the healthiest one I have ever seen.

Well, I've made my stance on yotes in populated area's known. And, Mescalero takes a different view. So, as long as they are on his street, and he's happy with them so be it.

So? During one of my once-a-year trips to the "big city" 20 miles down the road. I heard gunshots while stopped at a red light. I did not see any cops rushing to the area. I was told shooting in the city was routine nowadays.-------6Mescalero wrote:That would be discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Re: song dogs
At least that is one law we don't have in Britain, as long as the bullet/shot stays on private property it's legal to shoot vermin within city limits on property that you have permission to shoot on.
Of course noise and disturbing the peace can get you in trouble, hence we don't have problems buying silencers either.
As a professional pest controller I have shot foxes, squirrels, pigeons and even a mink within city limits, in certain cases we do inform the police of what we will be doing.

LOL -- I was at a brickyard relatively close to downtown OKC not long ago picking up some extra brick for a project when I heard a shot from perhaps a block or two away -- I ran in the store and yelled "Shots fired!" --thinking it was a holdup at one of the many stores nearby . I was looking for something heavy to take cover behind when one of the salesman (who was wearing a Glock hat and had a Jeep plastered with Magpul logos and other assorted enthusiast logos) -- he just said, "happens so much around here now we rarely pay it any attention anymore --- the thugs in the nearby neighborhoods will at times just shoot in the air"
I guess if you have to live or work in a place like that, having a Jeep with a Zombie patrol, or "Protected by Smith & Wesson" is a better tactic than having PTA or "my kid is an honor students " logos all over a Camry
