Scope it out...

Post by Hobie »

Had the opportunity to use one of these on Monday. Pretty cool. Really neat for use on muzzle-loaders. You can see a lot. There is a sideways looking end piece and longer "cables". Probably useful for looking down drains as well..

Does that price include a 90-degree viewing head, and if so, will it focus correctly to give details of a rifle-bore...????

I'd like to use of of them to look at the bore on my old No4 Mk1. It looks like a sewer pipe to the naked eye, I'll bet it looks worse with one of those.

I got one of the usb cameras last year. It has no screen but uses your webcam software to display and capture pictures with your computer.
The best part was the price at less than $40 on ebay.
Probably not professional quality but good enough to check 6mm and larger bores for problems and particularly handy for looking at chambers and throats.

Cool toy and would be fun to play with but I kinda compare it to "if you don't want to be disappointed don't chrono your favorite load"......... I really don't want to know how bad my barrels might be.

They usuallly have a demo unit set up in front of the tool crib at the local Home Depot.

They do not provide a privacy booth.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
