probably pretty well; i have one quite similar but nicer and it shoots quite well. the serpentine lever is easier to use than it looks.

Are these black powder only, or can you use b.p. level smokeless in them?

i have usedd mine so far only with smokeless loads that are bp equivalent. mine has a mirror bore and is like new mechanically so i bet it would shoot even better with really soft lead bullets and bp or hodgson 777. i am going to try it.

I used to get up to Greensboro at least once a month on business and Cherry's was less than 1/2 a mile down the road from my customer. I miss stopping in at that fine store...
