Of All The Bad Luck.....

Post by Blaine »

 I might be stuck hunting with my 1951 Wrenchester 94 30WCF if the Mdl 88 can't be sighted in.......... 8) 8) I hope deer, black bear, and elk can still be taken with such a useless old calibre

Don't let your ambitions exceed your rifles capabilities. Just stick to rabbits and groundhogs till you can get the big gun up and running.

You know its actually people like you that keep perpetuating the myth that those underpowered antiques are capable of killing real game animals.

That 30-30 is pretty weak. Better take a 44-40 along for backup.

What is the 88 doing? What brand scope did you put on it? I had a brand new scope one time that the scope itself was bad. Talk about going crazy!!

No need to worry. A buddy of mine who moved here from Montana told me he killed 28 elk with a Model 64 and that was after his dad hunted with the same rifle for many years before that. Shot placement and keep it under 125 or so. :D --------------Sixgun

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
