260 paces.

Post by Nath »

I ain't shot that far for a long time! Really would of prefered 60 paces!

I was pleased with the shot though. Knealing with the fore hand rested on a fence rail in the failing light with glasses on! I got this mangie dog fox down as 200yds but underestimated!

By pure chance he stopped walking and chose to sit down surveying his haunt, I think he was slowly moving in for a chicken at a near egg unit! This allowed me some extra bullet drop and with my range guessing error it was a good job!

The lumbering 170grn Speer pushed by 47grn of BL-C2 (about 2600fps) seemed to take ages to arrive but when it did a loud thump was emitted.

He went pretty quick fellers, no doubt his friends will attend the funeral!
