Farmingdale Shiloh Sharps percussion carbine

Post by barbarossa »

I ve been looking for a Shiloh Sharps percussion carbine for hunting and found this one.It is a Shiloh Farmingdale 1859 carbine in unfired condition.I wanted a carbine as I ve found the sporting rifles a bit much to tote around all day and I was going to order one from Shiloh with a 24 or 26 barrel , (an option they offer now for the carbines) when this one kind of fell in my lap and saved me about a year or so of a wait.

I had one many years ago. Mine was a 50 cal. It shot very well with the Lyman 450 gr bullet.

Wouldnt happen to be serial No 874 would it?

Very Nice! I would love to get something like that myself. I wish they would allow them for use in the muzzleloading season, however, being that it is a breechloader I doubt that will ever happen. I hope you have a nice cap n ball revolver to go with it.

They allow these for black powder season during the same season they allow in-lines here in Pa. That is the early season, doe only here in Pa. They also allow them during the primary rifle season. Not allowed during late season which is flintlock only.
