Latest update on MS house - it looks like a house!

Post by O.S.O.K. »

Well, here's how far we've gotten - should be dried-in today (sheathing on the roof), along with the rest of the roof and side porch built:

Making progress!!

Things are going to pick-up now - the inside subs can get in next week and the cement guys can finish up with the french drain and backfill - then it'll really start coming together.

Looking forward to the backfilling getting done as I can seed the bermuda and start working on elimination of the mud...

E.S.O.K. - I should say so! Looks like it won't be very much longer and ya'll will be established in and greatly enjoying your new home and surroundings, instead of anxiously anticipating the completion of this major challenge. Good for you folks. Good indeed.

Stay on those subs and make commit to your schedule. The wrong guys can really tank a project.

Thanks ya'll. It's dried-in now - has the sheathing on the roof and they're working on the roof over the garage and the side porch.

I'm going to have a range - probably behind the house about 100 yards in further and down across a big draw. I'm planning on constructing a shoot house - maybe with "baffles" - like a big supressor to help dampen the noise...

We're driving there again tomorrow - going to go pickup the wood burning stove and plumbing fixtures. Electritian starts on Monday and the plumber will be in next week too. Then the HVAC, insulation, dry wall, finishing.... cabinets and we do the floors.
