Had lunch wih griff today

Post by rjohns94 »

Always great to spend time with him, catch up with his stories and learn a few things about lever guns. Thanks for the time today Griff. Blessings

Nay, nay Mike. The pleasure was mine. Although... my stories get old & boring after the 1st time... but wait! Didn't you used to spend months couped up in a hollow tube listening to a bunch of swabbies rehashing their old stories? Anyway, thanks for lunch... next time we have get away & do some shootin'... I got this nice, shiney .30-30 Trapper... maybe I can get permission to drag it aong with me... Oh wait, I have two full months b4 his b-day... he won't notice any "new" scratches!  And if that isn't a go, we need to pry Sixgun ouot of the Eagles nest, he' got enough for all of us!

OS... "Intellectual"? ME? While I admit to doing nithing but sitting around all day thinkin' up cures for all mankind's problems, I've only come up with ONE. "Thinning the herd" is only a stop-gap measure; and while the application mechanics aren't real challenging, ensuring a consensus on the exact operational details proves excessively so.

Griff seems to have an affinity for model 94s. I am less one since our visit.

Yep, Mike was less one 94, and my wallet that was lighter! Actually, my affinity is for .30-30s... and the Winchester 94 just happens to be the perfect platform for the cartridge! Anyway, another pretty 94 for my son's collection... Image At least that's how I'm justifying it! Legendary Lawman .30-30 Trapper, produced in 1977. This one is a shooter, and we'll see just how well of one when I get home next.

Except for a couple of storage or handling dings... near perfect. A couple of screws have issues... but that's why I have SPARES!!!

OS,
Yep, read that... never claimed to have any originality...

See...Griff snags another one that is never to be seen again by us northerners. Stay down there and leave our guns alone!!! :D

Looks good Griff! One thing for sure it will be a great shooter. (that first pic looks like it was blessed by the Pope....you know, with all the bright light and all. :D )

 What have you done? Do you have any idea how far I'd drive for a free beer? :D :D

And don't try telling me you're at the cabin that weekend. I'll drive there, too

Free beer, just like the $500 toilet seat, is just a cover up for the real motive behind a road trip :P :D
