Thank you Hobie. This is hard to take, he seemed like a real good man.I always enjoyed his post especially during deer season and his wife's deer kills with her Savage 99. Will you post this news in a seperate post so all will know about him?

JerryB,

I have done so in the Memorials.. http://www.levergunscommunity.com/viewt ... =6&t=40544

I feel badly about this as I had a feeling something was wrong but didn't follow up aside from sending e-mails.

Sad to hear. I wonder if anyone feels like I do, that this community could do something for the families left behind. No amount of money could bring back a loved one but I'm thinking some sort of expression, supported by the members willing, could be sent from the classiest group of people I have ever been a part of.

I think, as we approach the first anniversary of his passing, that a card shower MIGHT be appropriate. Mrs. Koch's address is a POB and so it might be safe for her as well. Any comments?

I would be happy to send one from us to her. Would be happy to hear from those who would want to add comments to the card. Thoughts?

Yes. All participants would send a card, individually, to the family timed to arrive at about the same time. I don't know if this is a good thing, it is a suggestion since we all missed his death last year.

Should we possibly pick one person to send the "first" card with the links included in it. Wait for a reply before sending the rest of our condolences to prevent undue stress? Does this sound like a plausible option?

I just went back to view a thread of him and his wife after a hunt. Though she doesn't post here, she's a levergunner, too. She's one of us.

When we send her a card, tell her the truth, we miss him.
