Colt went back in the safe.

Post by Pitchy »

Put the Colt SAA back in the safe for now, i like my Vaquero so much and the white grips and i can hit real good with it.
This is my favorite set-up, Ruger and 1895 CB 45-70, the knife was made by a friend in TX from a blank that i cut out for him, bone slabs.

Hey Pitchy,
Nice gear dude! I really like the shape of the knife.

You say you "put the S.A Colt back in the safe?" Thats OK, ...........but,.....does the Ruger "stir your soul" as much as the Colt? :D------------Sixgun

On another note, I'm having a hard time thinking and focusing today. A bud dealer of mine showed me an acquistion he recently snagged. A 99% lever action Bullard in 50-115 Bullard made around 1885. This case is the first semi-rimmed case to be invented. I think you boys need to take up a collection for me so I can get it---$12,000

The real beauty of a Ruger is once you have fired all 6 rounds, you can still throw the gun at the target...

After one shot, I prefer to shoot my SBH at five other targets

That's a nice set of gear Pitchy.
I have recently come to appreciate the style of the New Vaquero over the Blackhawk.
I have a bunch of each to pick from and have settled on the 4-5/8" NV in .45 Colt as best suiting my needs.
My only complaint has been the highly polished and rounded-edge front sight on my stainless gun.
I'm replacing the front sight with a nice patridge sight from the MKII target pistol. It should give my tired old eyes a much better sight picture.
