Might be worth it to take a magnet to the store when looking at ammo.

What a choice... wear out your barrel with cheap ammo or go broke trying to shoot it... :evil:

(This conundrum doesn't really apply to handguns if you reload... but if you are shooting bunches of rounds through your gas-op "Tactical Toys" (AR, AK, M1/M14, etc) and can't shoot cast lead it becomes a real issue...

Excellent article, has a good explaination of bimetal jacket vs. jacketed Pb core. Thanks for posting.
