What does it mean?

Post by Rusty »

As I drive around, from time to time I see cars driving around with decals, bumper stickers even front plates with a design on them that looks like a pair of captain's bars on it's side. It's always yellow bars on a blue field. Some time back I even saw da Prez making a speech and that same "sign" was on the backdrop he was standing in front of. Anybody know what this means?

Thank you Steve. I had no clue.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the members of this sight collectively know everything worth knowing.

Your welcome, funny how many that support gay rights are very outspoken, and this symbol (=) is very low key.

Of course it is equal rights. Remember when you were a kid and there was only one cookie left, and you had to share with your brother? So you broke it in "half" and gave him what you thought he deserved? Then your Mom told you that whoever broke the cookie had to let the other person choose which piece they wanted. Well, they want to break the cookie and pick which piece they want.
Judge a person not for how they act, but for who you can help them become.

No, they don't. They want the whole cookie and you to be punished for liking different cookies.

I think that you all are talking about this logo:

It is the symbol of The Human Rights Campaign, and, indeed, it is "one of the most recognizable symbols of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community". Well, I could not have told you that. GAG!

Oh, for Pete's sake.

Nothing "equal" about what they are demanding, which is nothing less than the elimination of anyone who opposes or has any reservations about their lifestyle.
