Leather Care

Post by Cruise »

Has anybody used Obenauf's leather care products?
If so, what was your experience.
I got a sample size but am interested what the long term might look like.

I've used it on my White's boots and I like it. I've only been using it for a couple of years so I don't have a whole lot of experience in using it. Really like the smell, as compared to mink oil.

I've used the LP paste on boots, belts and different types of leather cases for the past 3 years. It works good repelling water but seems to wear off pretty quickly if you rub the leather against anything. It rubs in and flows much easier warmed up. I've even put it in the microwave for 20 seconds to soften it up. One thing I like is that it does not stain leather and any tanned, treated and/or dyed leather doesn't change color from applying it.

IMO, it's the best stuff out there. I warm the leather a bit when putting it on...
