I hope they expand that line a bit....the shorter bbl, regular sights, and a Mag cyl would be cool.

If they make one with a Bisley grip I'll need one bad. :P

Forget the shorter barrel and Bisley Grip, I want it just the way it is. And It's Stainless to boot.

I just cannot get used to those fiber optic sights. I feel that they detract from the looks of the gun, making it look like some sort of toy. Other than that, I like the single 10.

You can bet that if this is successful, which I'm betting it will be, they will expand the line nicely.

The older I get the more I appreciate the fiber optic sights. It's a Ruger, so it will double as a hammer if needed. :D Though not as aesthetically pleasing as a S&W Model 17, I do kind of like it.

While Ruger makes some interesting pieces, I've never come upon a personal need for a single-action .22 revolver. They do make some pretty ones, though.

I had an uncle who many years ago had some flavor of SA .22 revolver that he used to plink with out behind the hen-house.

He sure did like that gun.

I'm glad you guys like it, but it's nothing I'd buy. I like my single actions to be traditional 6 guns. Single 10 ...... blaugh!

If they keep it priced decent, I will be interested!

As far as tradition, I seriously doubt you could find a gunfighter/gambler or any other cowboy in the old west that would not have liked to had a few extra rounds in a cylinder.

There was even an old western that had a 7 shot SAA, LEGEND OF THE GOLDEN GUN!

Same price as their 0625 Model( 6 shot SS Single Six) but with the 6 shot Single Six you get the additional 22Mag cylinder.
For now at least for myself its a no brainer I will take the two cylinder 0625 Model
Neat for some I guess. Find with my H&R 999 (9 shot)I just tend to shoot them up quicker and wasting rds.

I'm glad to see them make (especially as a stockholder :D ) but I like my six-shooters just fine. Now a 8 or 10 shot SP101. . .I'd be on that like flies on watermelon. I was tempted to buy the SP101 in .327 the other day but talked myself off the ledge. Waiting for them to come out with a stainless 6 shot .327 Single-six with a .32-20 cylinder.

I bet the Ruger 10 shot is cheaper than a USFA 12 shot!

When plinking, I'll usually load 3 or 4 at a time.....spaces the shots out a bit, somehow makes it a better practice technique. Maybe. Sort of.

My wife has her eye on the SP101 DAO for CCW. She doesn't like the bite of the lighter S&W .38 642. She is torn between maybe more carrying time as it is lighter or going with the heavier one she can shoot better.

If they would make it with a swing out cylinder I might be interested. Otherwise I just can't get too enthusuatic about loading and then unloading ten cartrige cases single action style.

Especially where there is no half cock and the chambers do not line up with the ejector rod.

Ruger's latest single actions have not had that problem (New Vaq, flat top specials etc.). Open the loading gate and the cylinder free-wheels and the chambers index with a detent perfectly to the ejector rod. I find the older mechanism so dang annoying that I will not own one (unless you go all the way back to the non-safety model). Now I would certainly HOPE that this new model has the same feature!! If it don't, I'M OUT.

A pox on the engineers at the Ruger factory if they didn't get this right...

Oly,

That's a question I'll have to ask next trip to The Ruger Forum.
