Everyone has to have a FIRST POST and this one is mine.
I've been lurking around here for quite a while and have wanted to add my thoughts to several threads but because I was not registered I was mute.
I'm a shooter, handloader and caster of bullets.
For now all of my leverguns are Marlins but I looking for a nice '92 Winchester (clone?). My other long guns are Remington & Ruger. Handguns are ..... a bunch.
Anyway, it's good to be here and I hope I can add something that someone finds useful or at least amusing.

Hi Twodot, I even bet I know where you live in Montana with that name. If I am correct about that, I used to drive past there on my way to Butte from my home in Deer lodge. Welcome, you will like it here. Tom

Get yourself an original '92 Winchester...it will never lose its value..
or talk to Nate Kiowa Jones for the clones...our resident expert...
He deals in Rossi......
Cimarron, Taylors, and Legacy Sports International deal in 92s
and of course, Winchester are making them in japan...
all are good rifles...

Deer Lodge to Butte by way of Twodot is the looong way around.

I have priced a couple of original '92s and they are beyond my means. I am looking for a shooter not a safe queen.

Hunting is always good. But it is the country that draws me. I am sure somewhere there is it's equal but there isn't any better.

Rusty, I hope I raised the standards by joining in.

Might I add My "WELCOME" as well. Just recently moved so haven' been on here much. Anything U want to know just ask (not Me) the forum general. I have 4 or 5 92s, lost track in My head- 2 in 25-20, 1 in 32-20, 1 in 38-40, I guess it is only 4 but all Winchesters and definitely not safe Queens.
Again Welcome and sit a spell.
Oh BTW, if U have lurked any time at all I am sure U know the RULES " PICS PICS AND MORE PICS " surprised No One has mentioned it Yet.
