Mosberg 427?

Post by JReed »

My Dad just called to tell me that he lucked into a Mosberg 427 in 30-30 like new for a darn good deal. I looked at the home page but not much info there. I am wondering what info y'all may have on these guns.

Thanks

472? Levergun, trigger stays with the lever. Lines are not as subtle as a Marlin.

Mossberg only made the 472 from 1972 to 1982 IIRC.

This is the Mossberg model 472. When first introduced, price was 125.00 as I recall. They never really became popular sales items but are fairly easy to find thru a number of on-line gun auction sites.

I have one,it is as good as any of the breed.
It is also the only levergun I can comfortably work from the shoulder.
