... It uses a double stack magazine of a new design that holds 30 rounds and fits completely in the grip of the pistol....

I'm pretty sure the velocity won't be up to the FN's... nor wil it be a super-duper AP round like the 5.7... but still...

30 in the tank sure is cool...

Ads been out for a year but has anyone seen one of the actual GUNS...?

I'd like better sights than they show, though.

They're still expensive. They will probably drop down to $325-$350 when KT gets caught up. Same with the RFB which I want also!

I hope they don't tend to jam or malfunction with such a big cap. mag...... :? I just don't trust autos not to jam at the wrong time.

I've been waiting to see one of those in person too.
Might just have to have one.

I've read several reviews/postings, from new owners, and all have said they were very ammo sensitive. Not one shot well, with the same ammo. It was all feeding issues.

The 22mag round was designed to fully burn its powder in a rifle barrel. Half the powder gets burned up outside of the pistol barrel. I guess if you like flash and blast this would be pretty cool.

i don't have a problem with large cap magazines in an auto, i have problems with Keltec's QC, which is always somewhat spotty.

The same guy designed the Grendel (this is basically a new version) so the idea works. But whether they can consistently build quality pieces.......eh. Running .22 WMR in a semiauto pistol as noted has it's own problems.

And a 5.7mm using civvie ammo isnt' anywhere near the performance of the .mil loads.

The street price on the RFB is about $1600 not the $1880 or so MSRP on the Kel Tec web site. BTW, boss man has one in the rack...

Yep, when I'm feeling real flush, I'd like to get one and rebarrel it to 358 Win.

That'd give me a lever, a bolt and a semi in 358 Win
Kind regards,

I REALLY like the concept but I'll have to read of satisfied owners before I jump. My two Kel-Tec autos have been trouble free.

That's the same problem AMT had with their AutoMag IIs. The one I had came with the original box and had a letter to the original owner from AMT after a service trip recommending a single brand of ammo (Dynapoints maybe?). I know rimfires are picky but that's a bit much...

22 Mags shoot ok out of my single six, no noticable flash and blast... at least not compared to my .30 carbine Blackhawk.

I am not wild about a handgun frame made from two halves riveted together, but I like the idea of a 22Mag handgun and I really like the idea of the 30 round flush fit magazines.

And, I must admit, on occasion I do like flash and blast!

If I want to send several small caliber rounds down range quickly, my double barrel 20ga with magnum #3 buck does nicely

Looked at them online a while back when they first came out. They sure are ugly!

Would love to own an FN 5.7 though.
