OK....here's mine.
Another display of Old Meets New.
I didn't see folks posting up shotguns here..!! I included my current Ithaca 37 M&P. One like it served me well in jungle environments. This one lives next to my bed, along with the "just-in-case" bandoleer of No. 4 Buck.
Of course....for all around FUN..it's hard to beat the Springfield 1873 Trapdoor. This one is a "family rifle" having been in my family going on 100 years and counting. She's still throwing BIG chunks of lead downrange with authority and much better than "minute-of-deer" precision.
You'll all recognize the top of the order....I did the photo with the some of the web gear I used during the war in Rhodesia. The chest carry unit was originally for 6-20 rd magazines for my FN. We switched over to M-16's for purely tactical reasons. When we did, we discovered that the same mag. carrier will hold 2- 20 rd. M-16 mags in each pouch for a total of 120 rds. on my chest. In addition, on my web belt, I carried the 4/20's pouch and 2 of the 3/30's pouches.
With the 30 in the rifle, that let me carry 410 rds. of 5.56 ammo on bush patrol. When you're in a combat environment where help isn't always a radio call away...well, you know.
I enjoy the Trapdoor often. The Ithaca gets out now and then for some fun shooting too.
As far as the M4 and all that goes with it....fun to shoot now and then also, BUT...it's the one I PRAY I never have to retrieve FOR REAL.
