If I was a single man, I'd be all over that. I casually mentioned it to my wife and it would appear south Texas holds no appeal for her.

Well, if it were not for the part about getting along with people, I could apply. Also, did you mention working with/for Richard?

I was a maintenance and construction superintendent for Honolulu, and I can rough in plumbing, frame a house and do electrical, a jack of all trades, and I love the outdoors. Sounds like a dream job especially since no more family here in Hawaii. Hard part would be convincing wife to move away from her aging parents though she does have 3 brothers here to look after them later on in life. I know whoever gets this job will be in hog heaven. Best wishes to all applicants.

Cubrock;
The ranch is just 2-3 mile south of Hondo, which is between San Antonio and Uvalde.

Ha ha... I can do all that and more, but I could never convince the wife to move.
I'm adding it to the "O, to be single..." list.
So far:
1:) Be pirates in the Carribbean, (A cousin of mine offered a spot on his 55ft tri-maran and all food and drink included just to be first mate. -Too bad I had a pregnant wife at the time!
2:) Move to Alaska and pan gold.
3:) Move to Hawaii and be a paramedic there. (This would involve being single and an orphan, as family visits would be once in a lifetime,)
4:) Game Ranch Manager for 86er. To plant enough food to eat, so long as I could cull hunt when the meat stores got low.
Say, would a horse be included?

My wife is of the same opinion. Pluss my current employer wont let me go to start a new job at this time. But I did get relly excited for a moment.If I was a single man, I'd be all over that. I casually mentioned it to my wife and it would appear south Texas holds no appeal for her.

Oh, if this had only come up 25 yrs ago. I spent many hours in the seat of a tractor working my Granpa's farm, and his small herd of herefords. Then I was trained in the plumbers and pipefitters union after high school. I have always loved the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. But now at 57 yrs old and looking forward to retirement in a couple of yrs, I wouldn't be a good candidate.
pm sent. I'm VERY interested in this job.
