Prayer Request For My Family

Post by Dave B »

My wife of eleven years filed for divorce two weeks ago. She has been unhappy for many years and said that there is no chance for saving our marriage, even though I have suggested that we seek help. We have an eleven year old daughter and a seven year old son. Please pray that we make the right decisions.

Thank you,

Dave B.

Many of us here have been down that road. It isn't easy but it will get better.

Best of luck to all of you.

Please get the "we" out of your head. It no longer exists since she filed for divorce. Your business is separated - cover all your ends. She has thought about this for a long time.
Men say something 7 or 8 times before they mean it. Women wait and only say it once, when they finally see the business arranging to their advantage.
She is the enemy of your financial well-being. The mother of your children, yes, and always will be, and always respect her to your children as such.
But do not trust her and look out for yourself right now.
If there is a chance to win her back, it will be because she sees you functioning rationally and in your own best interest, and in the interest of your children. But don't expect it.
Do not give her any excuse to call the police, ever, because they will always believe her and will never believe you.
Call this the voice of the Holy Spirit.
