Is Marlin making SS .357 lever guns?

Post by MikeS. »

I know they made some on a special run for some big distributor, but have they or are they going to be a catalog item? I'd like to have one.

They've made a couple runs for Davidson's over the past few years, which were bought up quickly, and commanded very high prices if you could find one for resale. Last year they turned out some, and by playing internet-search, using a credit card, and having a .JPG of my FFL's certificate to send pending their confirmation of his existence, I was able to snag one, then another. One did have some cosmetic issues, but was destined to become a 'ranch' gun and not a safe queen, so I didn't really care.

Hopefully they will begin making enough of them you can actually get hold of one, and at a decent price. They were running in the low $600's last year.

At least BudsGunShop.com lists them, if not 'in stock' - http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/prod ... s_id/59486

NOW - if they'd just make one in .45 COLT... 8) 8) 8)

saw a new in box one at the gun show today, 465$.
don't know if it was recent manufacture or not, though.
careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

Thanks guys, my local store has 1 in stock, asking 695 for it. I passed at that price. The lever action and trigger are really rough too. Oh well.
