Thanks Hoosierdaddy For A Fine Tang Sight!

Post by Sixgun »

Fellow Shootists,
Hoosierdaddy is a fine gentleman to do business with. :D He sent me this sight the same day I sent payment. When I received it, I was thrilled to say the least. Never did I have an original Lyman tang sight that was click adjustable for elevation along with windage adjustment that was this old. (stopped making this sight in 1906)

Its a monster of a sight. It weighs 2.8 ounces while the Lyman #1 (pictured) weighs in at 1.4 ounces.
What better way to honor such a piece of machinery than to install it on my best shooting 1886, a 40-65 made in 1893. This old '86 now has a sight from the same era. :D

Hoosierdaddy is also a top notch gun engraver. Something I did not know. Check out his work. http://www.kenburklow.com/
The gold inlaid elephant is truly a masterpiece. And those single action Colts are real beauties.---------------------Sixgun

Wow, that sight zips right past heavy duty straight to EXTREME duty. Good looking sight too.

Hey Sixgun,
Just got back in town. Thanks for the kind words. Glad the sight worked out. I'm happy that you will actually keep shooting with it.
Thanks again,
Hoosierdaddy

I see we have another jerk interjecting his product adds in excuses for replies. BTW, Firefox is highlighting his site as 'Red' so you might want to stay away from his hotlinks until they get removed.

COSteve,
Is this remark aimed at me?
